Northumbria GP Training Programme is the largest training scheme in England.

We provide training for over 300 GPSTRs across an area from County Durham in the south to the Scottish border and from the North East coast to the Pennines.

We therefore provide training in a variety of GP practices; from inner city practices to very rural ones, from very small to very large: and hospital training in all the trusts in the northern region.

We aim to produce competent, caring and enthusiastic GPs, who will be able to meet the needs of patients and the wider NHS.
